The right box for every shipment
A tablet app on the packing bench that tells each worker which boxes to use for an order. It replaced guesswork that lived in a few heads, and it has run every day since.
- 300+ hourssaved every year
- Five figurescut from annual shipping cost
- Still runningin the warehouse since launch
The situation
A lab-equipment distributor packed thousands of orders a year by judgement. Which box sizes to use lived in the heads of a few experienced staff, and the guesses were not always the cheapest or the fastest. New hires took weeks to get it right.
What we built
A simple tablet app at the packing bench. For every shipment it shows the best box set-up to use: no guessing, nothing to memorise, one clear step to follow. It needed no model at all, just the right rules and a clean screen, and we said so rather than selling AI where it was not needed.
